Director | Senior Building Certifier

Peter is a Senior Building Certifier with extensive industry experience; beginning a career in building in 1985 and certification in 1994. He has been a Director of Certis since 2000.

Peter specialises in identifying areas of cost savings and performance solutions while maintaining compliance with the requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC). He has considerable experience providing advice on Building Regulation matters as they relate to all commercial buildings. Peter has a specialist interest in laboratory and educational buildings.

Peter is also the driving force behind the Certis Learning videos and the inventor of the Rise’n’go Stair Checker – a device to quickly and accurately check the rises and goings of stairs.

Director

Prabha is a Director of Certis with over 25 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer and Building Surveyor. He is recognised for his expertise providing leading edge Building Code advice at a senior level and has been a referee with the Building Tribunal.

Prabha is a respected member of the building industry; known for providing alternative performance-based approaches to compliance issues. He has been a member of the Building Advisory Committee which advises the minister for local government on changes to the NCC, the Building Act and regulations.

With experience in the certification of a wide range of iconic projects, Prabha is one of the most sought-after NCC advisors in the region.

Director

With over 30 years of experience across both private and local government sectors, Paul brings extensive knowledge of building surveying and certification to his role.

He is highly regarded for his holistic approach to compliance and his ability to guide design teams through all stages of the approvals process, from concept to completion. Paul holds qualifications in building surveying, town planning, fire engineering, and access consulting, and is an accredited Building Surveyor in Queensland, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory.

His broad technical background enables him to provide practical, solutions-focused advice on complex regulatory matters.

Operations Manager

Larnie is our Operations Manager – bringing more than a decade of experience in organisational management and efficiency.

Prior to joining Certis, Larnie was General Manager for a large group of commercial real estate in Australia. She gained first-hand experience on the client-side of certification while working on the design of new company premises.

This experience also developed her interest in combining design and compliance – recognising how beauty, function and safety must intersect.

With great attention to detail and a calm demeanour, she focuses on managing the day-to-day operations at Certis. Larnie heads up a wide range of essential sectors; from the staff and client experience to strategic planning, process improvement and more.
